John B. Griggs
Mr. Griggs is the EVP of Finance & Corporate Development for Conquest Completion Services, a Shreveport, Louisiana-based provider of coiled tubing and related completion services, where he focuses primarily on strategic and returns-based capital allocation initiatives both organic and inorganic. Prior to joining Conquest, Mr. Griggs was the Chief Financial Officer of Rubicon Oilfield International, a Houston-based oilfield products manufacturing company he co-founded in early 2015. While at Rubicon, Mr. Griggs was responsible for the company’s accounting, treasury/finance, tax, risk management, and corporate development functions and was also intimately involved in the establishment of high-level strategic plans and overall company leadership. From 2011 through 2014, Mr. Griggs was a Managing Director at CSL Capital Management, an energy private equity firm. While at CSL, Mr. Griggs sponsored investments in and served on the boards of several oilfield services companies, including Independence Oilfield Chemicals and Delta Subsea. From 2005 through 2011, Mr. Griggs was a Senior Vice President for the direct capital arm of the D.E. Shaw Group where he focused on direct debt and equity investments in energy companies, with a particular focus on energy services and equipment, midstream and downstream companies. Mr. Griggs holds a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
